My Daikin unit (Altherma, Boiler) supports the Daikin LAN adapter option kit but the application keeps indicating that the Daikin LAN adapter is initializing.

Caution : For the Daikin Altherma initialization can take up to 15 minutes!

Option kit BRP069A6x:

When Updating the Daikin LAN adapter firmware from version 17003901 to the latest Daikin LAN adapter firmware, a mandatory power reset of the Daikin Altherma system is required. This is informed via a pop-up in the Daikin Online Control Heating Application. If you forgot to do the mandatory power reset on your Daikin Altherma system, the application will keep indicating that the Daikin LAN adapter is initializing.

It can take up to 15 minutes before the Daikin LAN adapter is initialized. If however after 15 minutes the Daikin LAN adapter still indicates initializing in the Daikin Online Control Heating application, please try the following actions:

  • Reboot your Daikin Altherma system by switching the power off and on. 
  • Verify with your installer that your Daikin Altherma user interface is configured to work in “RT control”. At the moment, “LWT control” or “ext RT control” are not supported by the Daikin LAN adapter. 
  • Verify with your installer if your Daikin Altherma software is compatible with the Daikin LAN adapter, an update could be required in order to be compatible with the Daikin LAN adapter.

Option kit DRGATEWAYAA :

At this moment, the DRGATEWAYAA is only compatible with the Daikin room Thermostat. When the connection between the Daikin Boiler and the Daikin room Thermostat is interrupted (e.g. defect, disconnect,.. ) the Daikin LAN adapter will indicate the initializing state as it needs to re-initialize its communication with the Daikin room Thermostat. As long as the Daikin room Thermostat is not re-connected, the initializing state will be present. Once a Daikin room Thermostat is connected, the initialization (upload) progress can be checked on the Daikin room Thermostat.
