Gala Coral is a prominent betting office with about 1,800 locations across the UK. Clocking in 94 hours per week, the air conditioning systems in these shops are constantly running to meet heating and cooling demands. With high operational costs, Gala Coral needed an alternative solution to improve the efficiency of its current systems to attain more energy savings.
The Wolverhampton test
To help Gala Coral find the best air conditioning solution we did a trial run in 2010 to show the power of our auto-cleaning round flow cassette. For this project we installed two 12.5kW round flow cassettes, one with the auto-cleaning feature and one without. We then connected the units to two different kWh metres to measure their total energy consumption.
After 12 months, results showed the running costs for the auto-cleaning round flow cassette achieved 49% less energy consumption than the standard round flow cassette system. We continued to check the results of the metres and discovered in a 5-year period the auto-cleaning round flow cassette continued to deliver nearly 50% more energy efficiency than the unit without auto-cleaning. In 5 years, one auto-cleaning round flow cassette saved the Wolverhampton shop 1,345 pounds (1,510 euros) and reduced the system's CO2 emissions by 2 tonnes.

Auto-cleaning makes the difference
Round flow cassettes automatically clean the filter at regular intervals to prevent dust from accumulating and to create a more efficient unit. A vacuum cleaner easily removes collected dust.
